Panderdiedas in the classroom
An article game for phone and tablet: 2000 words in 35 topics, each with a drawing for the little ones. Free, no sign-up, no ads – players and progress stay on the device.

- No sign-up. No account, no email address, no password – neither for children nor for teachers.
- Names and progress stay on the device. They live in the tablet's browser storage and are not transmitted anywhere. Clearing the browser data clears the progress too.
- No consent banner. We count page visits and finished rounds on a server of our own – no cookie, no identifier stored on the device. No names, no individual words, no progress.
- No ads, no purchases. No third-party fonts either: they sit on the same server, so no request goes to Google.
Three levels on one device
Several children can share a tablet: each creates their own player and keeps their own progress. The level decides the vocabulary – and how much of the interface is shown at all; what matters is whether the child can read, not their age.
LittleNot reading yet300 wordsA single button, every word with a picture – for everyone who cannot read yet, usually ages 4 to 6.
BigReads already1000 wordsPlus the choice of topics and the rules page, usually ages 7 to 10.
Grown-upEleven and up2000 wordsTopics, language levels A1–B1, round length – also for German as a second language.
What the game does didactically
- Spaced repetition. A correct answer moves a word one box further, a wrong one puts it back to zero. What still wobbles is drawn more often – the boxes themselves are never shown to the children.
- 1092 drawings. Every word on the two children's levels has a sketch, so that children who cannot read yet can play along.
- Read aloud. Every word comes as a recording – first the word on its own, then with its article once the answer is in. Can be switched off.
- 39 rules, counted through. The rules page does not claim that a rule holds; it shows how many of the 2000 words it applies to – with the exceptions right next to it. Every rule can be practised as a round.
What it cannot do
So that nobody stands in front of a class searching for it:
- No class account and no teacher dashboard. Only the child sees its own progress, on its own device.
- No transfer to another device and no backup. A new tablet means starting over.
- No printable worksheets – this is a game for the screen.
- Nominative only. Cases, plurals and declension are not covered.
How it gets onto the tablet
- Open panderdiedas.com in the browser.
- Choose Add to Home screen in the browser menu – after that the icon sits on the device like any app.
- On first start choose a name, a level and a colour. More children can be added later via the panda in the top left.
From the second start everything runs without a network. For a class set of tablets without Wi-Fi it is enough to open each device once.
